is inviting you to take part in the intensive programme of practical training, lectures, discussions guided by the Russian theatre director and teacher Sergei Ostrenko, and the conference programme with leading experts and teachers from different countries.
Special discounted fees are available for artistic ensembles and their leaders as well as senior students groups and their teachers!
Participants: actors of physical, dramatic, dance, musical theatres, circus performers, directors, choreographers, visual artists, sound and light designers.
Talents from different background, genre and style can draw from Ostrenko's system and develop their skills according to their field of expertise, enlarge personal horizons and create connections with colleagues from all over the world.
A unique contemporary window to get acquainted with other artists intuitions and meet with new potential collaborators!
Programme:
The programme is focused on Ostrenko's method of actor’s training, relying on the Russian Theatre Tradition and the newest experiments in performing arts. Participants will practically explore physicality as the principal creative instrument, the key to form, style, atmosphere and emotional palette in contemporary performance, stepping
beyond the limits of habitual text-based acting. Performer's physicality in the methods of Stanislavsky, Meyerhold and M.Chekhov, Meyerhold's Biomechanics Etudes, Tai-chi for actors, Training by method of improvisation, scene composition from exercises to performance: these are some of the elements uniquely transformed and combined in Ostrenko's teaching system to suit performers, directors and teachers contemporary needs.
The Lab and Conference are a great opportunity to approach a unique methodological and practical material that will enrich your professional skills and will offer you the possibility to share an intense creative experience at a global level!
The event will take place in the "Green Heart" of Austria, Styria Region, at the historic 15th century castle. Nearest international airports - Graz and Vienna, Austria.

University invites applications for a full-time position in Dance Education at the assistant or associate professor level.
04. Festival in South Korea
Presented by the Seoul Section of the CID-UNESCO, the 13th Seoul International Dance Festival takes part in various parts of the city. This year’s event invites 58 dance troupes from 20 countries to present 63 projects.
05. Festival in Portugal
Folk ensembles from all countries are invited to festival from 27 July to 2 August 2011. Live music, up to 35 persons, programs for 15, 20, and 40 minutes. Accommodation and full board, free time for beach and tourism.

Les thèmes suivants seront abordés : Structures fondamentales du Tango et son évolution aux nouvelles tendances (paroles, mélodie et rythme); Une approche à la fois technique et culturelle de la marche pour comprendre la "caminata tanguera" et trouver sa propre marche ferme et esthétique ; De la même manière, la recherche de la connexion se fera par une étude sociale des différents styles d'abrazo au cours du temps ( du canyengue à l'ouvert ) afin de pouvoir être à l'aise avec tout type de partenaire.

TALLER DE TEATRO ASURA
Taller-Laboratorio creativo de Improvisación Teatral: Cuatro Estaciones
Objetivo: Desarrollar y profundizar en la técnica de improvisación, a través la puesta en escena de un espectáculo Impro.
Dirigido a improvisadores con experiencia
Boceto del espectáculo: 4 escenas improvisadas de tiempo variable, cada una de ellas se desarrolla en una estación del año: otoño, inverno, primavera y verano. Cada época del año tiene unas características que teñirá las improvisaciones: atmósferas, actividades, personajes, topicazos,… Cuatro trayectos, cuatro viajes, cuatro historias que el grupo de improvisadores desarrollarán en aproximadamente 1 hora. El público aportará distintos elementos que serán la clave de las historias improvisadas.
Con este taller laboratorio creativo de Impro te proponemos descubrir, ampliar y desarrollar tus recursos expresivos y creativos, dejando así aflorar la espontaneidad, imaginación, fantasía, poesía, sentimientos, emotividad,… La Impro es un teatro vivo basado en la invención creativa personal y grupal.

ESTRENO DE "EL CUARTO DE LEO"

Leo vive una constante incomodidad e insatisfacción, propias de alguien que se esfuerza por llevar una vida que en realidad no desea. Trata de cumplir con su madre, con su novia, con su carrera, aunque en el camino se olvida de cumplir con sus propios deseos. En pleno proceso de búsqueda, auto aceptación y definición sexual, se reencuentra con Caro, una ex compañera de la escuela primaria de la que gustaba cuando eran chicos, y que ahora vive su propia crisis personal. Ese reencuentro casual removerá en Leo dudas e incertidumbres, mientras intenta ayudar a Caro a sobrellevar un doloroso trauma del que ella se niega a hablar. Y mientras Caro encuentra a su lado el refugio y el consuelo que le hacen falta, Leo descubre en Seba – a quien conoce a través de internet - el tipo de relación que realmente quisiera tener... Podría tratarse de un simple triángulo amoroso, pero es mucho más que eso: una historia humana sobre esos pequeños momentos de conexión con personas inesperadas que de pronto entran –o vuelven a entrar- en nuestras vidas y que, sin saberlo, nos ayudan a reencontrarnos con nosotros mismos.

El cuarto de Leo – Estreno en cines el 16 de Julio
Lavorágine Films y MovieCenter se complacen en anunciar el estreno de la película uruguaya El cuarto de Leo, que estará en salas de cine a partir del viernes 16 de julio de 2010.
Se trata del primer largometraje escrito y dirigido por Enrique Buchichio, egresado de la Escuela de Cine del Uruguay (ECU) y con dos cortometrajes como antecedentes, además de varios años como crítico de cine. Es una producción de Lavorágine Films (Uruguay) en co-producción con Jorge Rocca (Argentina). El elenco está encabezado por Martín Rodríguez, junto a Cecilia Cósero, Gerardo Begérez, Mirella Pascual, Rafael Soliwoda, Carolina Alarcón, Leonor Svarcas, Sylvia Murninkas y la participación especial de César Troncoso y Arturo Goetz.
La película tuvo su estreno mundial en el Festival Internacional de San Sebastián 2009 (Sección Zabaltegi – Nuevos Directores), luego de haber sido seleccionada para Cine en Construcción – Toulouse (2009). Además participó en la sección oficial de los festivales de Biarritz, La Habana, Marrakech, Miami, Praga, entre muchos otros. What FIFA is for football CID is for dance. Football attracts hundreds of millions of fans because there is FIFA to oversee it. When all dancers will unite under CID-UNESCO dance will be as strong as football. Performances will have ten times more spectators, schools will have ten times more students, sponsors will rush to offer money. Unity is strength.

CID Executive Secretary Ms. Lambrini Raikou was invited to attend the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Norway. Ask for her personal impressions.

Ivresse Tango
au Vingtième Théâtre
A la recherche de l’ivresse, cet état délicieux, qui nous emmène vers des endroits de nous même où l’on ose aller. Cet état euphorisant qui aide à chasser nos peurs, nos inhibitions, et réveiller nos désirs endormis. Pouvoir enfin s’abandonner,
s’ouvrir à l’autre et nous révéler.
Les trois danseurs nous offrent cette ivresse, à travers le Tango et le Folklore argentins, ces danses où la solitude n’existe pas ; il y a l’autre, cet inconnu avec lequel on partage l’écoute intime des corps, le rythme, pour trouver l’équilibre à deux, puis à trois…
Ivresse Tango est avant tout une fête, un spectacle de plaisirsvisuels et sonores, où nos sens en éveil sont sans cesse sollicités dans un univers ludique et onirique, comme ce moment, plongé dans le noir, où la danseuse entre en scène, vêtue de guirlandes lumineuses.
Portée par son partenaire, elle semble voler toute seule dans les airs sur les sons d’une valse aussi belle qu’entraînante.
Un spectacle où l’émotion fait osciller nos coeurs entre rires et larmes.
Cette histoire à la fois touchante et drôle, évolue sur les rythmes et les sons d’un autre trio, les musiciens. Ils sont témoins mais aussi acteurs de ce spectacle, ils sont partie prenante et nous accompagnent dans ces flux et reflux, voyagent avec nous sur des musiques venues des quatre coins d’Argentine; Tango, Milonga, Valse, Malombo, Vidala, Chacarera, Boleadoras, Zamba…
La trame
Comme aux origines du tango, deux hommes dansent ensemble. Une femme tente de s’immiscer, pour partager leurs étreintes…
L’équilibre est rompu, c’est le début d’une nouvelle quête dont la femme devient le centre...
L’un, le citadin, personnifie le tango, la sensualité. L’autre tient son langage de la terre, des origines, du Folklore. Pour échapper à la solitude, il frappe le sol («Zapateos», genre de flamenco argentin), invoquant des forces susceptibles d’appeler cet autre devenu indispensable… cette femme...
Ces trois personnages se cherchent, se prennent, se repoussent, pour trouver l’harmonie à trois, créer un trait d’union entre Tango et Folklore, pour une nouvelle ivresse...

This is the story of a little calf that one day decides to leave his stable to explore the world. This takes him to the mountains where he befriends a rabbit and a buzzard (vulture.) He also meets an evil selfish bull that has taken over the only lake around and doesn’t want to share the water. The calf, with the help of his new friends and nature, faces the evil bull to defeat him before he takes possession of all natural resources, which he will cunningly achieve without violence, making the bull eventually reflect about the importance of friendship, team-work and collective care of the environment.

Teatro Asura presenta…
MATCH DE IMPROVISACIÓN
Un Espectáculo de Impro
¿Juego? ¿Teatro? ¿Deporte? Los tres a la vez. Dos equipos con atuendos deportivos se enfrentan en el “Match de Improvisación” dentro del cuadrilátero. Un árbitro anuncia los sucesivos temas de improvisación, controla el buen desarrollo del juego y, de ser necesario, sanciona las faltas de los jugadores. Los improvisadores (jugadores-actores) desarrollan y concretan sus ficciones teatrales al calor de la acción. Al final de cada confrontación el público vota y adjudica el punto a uno u otro equipo. Las reglas son precisas y el tiempo cronometrado, como en cualquier juego deportivo.

Un matrimonio ácido y despiadado en proceso de separación. Éter retornable es una tragicomedia (quizá mucho más comedia que tragedia) de carácter absurda que toma como punto de partida el hastío de una pareja al borde de la separación para referirse a algo mucho más profundo: toda la existencia y la manera de vivir que le damos a nuestra vida. “La vida es una cuerda floja entre la mediocridad y la grandeza”, saben decir los personajes en la tentativa de comprender sus actitudes. Éter Retornable. Una tragicomedia sobre el amor, sobre la separación, sobre el intento de disolución de algo, algo complejo. Un intento por momentos ridículamente desgarrador y absurdo de necesitar a otro para compartirlo todo, la cena, el baño, el sexo, todo. Un experimento que busca alejarnos de la mediocridad que produce la vida cotidiana, la rutina y la vida en pareja. Éter Retornable surge de un Ciclo de Teatro Uruguayo que organicé en Buenos Aires. Sucedió algo muy extraño. No tengo del todo claro cómo fue el proceso creador. Reuní a un elenco extremadamente talentoso y a un texto altamente inspirador. Me dejé llevar por la intuición y logramos esto. Podría haber sido desastroso, pero no lo fue. Son riesgos que se corren y los tres disfrutamos del riesgo, del peligro creador y de la incertidumbre. Esta puesta, no tengo dudas de ello, es producto de una osadía. Nuestro agradecimiento especial a Angie Oña, autora de la obra; que siguió el proceso desde muy cerca con una sutil sonrisa complaciente. Trabajar el absurdo no fue sencillo pero nos condujo por el disfrute pleno de la risa y partimos desde ese estado para lograr esta poética. Debo agradecer a mis actores, por la confianza extrema. Mi abrazo infinito a ellos. En el teatro podemos prescindir de todo, de todo menos de los actores. Gerardo Begérez

Pedro Lemebel estará presente en las representaciones en Montevideo, ciudad que ama.
Llega a Montevideo la exitosa obra teatro basada en novela del escritor chileno Pedro Lemebel. Autor de gran reconocimiento mundial, merecedor de varios premios y traducido a varios idiomas. Tengo Miedo Torero se centra en dos historias que corren de manera paralela: el romance platónico de la Loca del Frente y el revolucionario Carlos y el matrimonio apocalíptico de Augusto Pinochet y Lucía Hiriart. Ambas historias se conectan por el atentado del Frente Patriótico Manuel Rodríguez, en el cual participan, de una forma u otra, la Loca y Carlos, contra el dictador en el Cajón del Maipo. Lo político y lo homosexual se funden y se confunden logrando un espectáculo que nos adentra en los oscuros episodios de la historia política latinoamericana de la mano, quizás, de uno de los más adorables personajes de la literatura marginal. Pero, sobretodo, es una historia que por sobre cualquier aspiración ideológica nos regala una exquisita historia de amor, de humanidad, de entrega y de abnegación. Una historia de amor en el Santiago del 86.

The Brave Calf

This is the story of a little calf that one day decides to leave his stable to explore the world. This takes him to the mountains where he befriends a rabbit and a buzzard (vulture.) He also meets an evil selfish bull that has taken over the only lake around and doesn’t want to share the water. The calf, with the help of his new friends and nature, faces the evil bull to defeat him before he takes possession of all natural resources, which he will cunningly achieve without violence, making the bull eventually reflect about the importance of friendship, team-work and collective care of the environment.
